Good afternoon,

I'm writing to let you know that the National Council for Preservation Education (NPCE) is accepting applications to its Internship Program from now until the deadline of November 1st at 5:00 Eastern Time. Current undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent
graduates, are eligible to apply for these paid internships. This application round is for the Academic Year '21 (January-May); the Summer '21 application round will be published early next year. Details:
Internships range in length from 10 to 30 weeks and, unless otherwise noted, pay $15.00 per hour. Travel to the site and housing during the internship are usually the responsibility of the intern but there are a few positions that include free or cheap housing, a housing or commuting stipend.

Qualifications:
We seek academically promising students with coursework and/or experience (volunteer and/or paid) in the fields of history, museum studies, cultural resource management, public administration, archeology, horticulture and allied fields. There's something here for students interested in heritage education, GIS, tribal historic preservation programs, battlefields, app development, museum collections, facilities management …. and more. The sites are located
at National Parks, National Monuments, and other units of the National Park Service/U.S. Dept. of the Interior. Many of the site supervisors are open to interns who wish to work part-time and/or virtually, and internships may begin part-time in the spring and transition to full-time in the summer.
