FYI..............

As of this morning the Perimeter doors locks for the OIT Engineering Gateway Data Center have been converted from Keypad to Card Reader Access only. Going forward you will need to use your Access Card to enter the Data Center. As with any change of this nature, there may be a few staff members that were not setup correctly.

I would advise that you verify that your Access Cards is working as soon as possible, during normal business, so that we can address the problem and get you setup correctly. If you have a problem with your access, please ring the bell outside the door of RM 1140 or contact Ken Cooper (x-3704) or Hector Segui (X-9494).

Thank You,

Subject: New Access Controls for the OIT Data Center
Importance: High

The access controls for the perimeter doors at the OIT data center will be changed from the current keypad setup to a proximity card reader setup. If you or your staff currently has access and have need to maintain that access; Managers please send me a list with employee name, prox-card number (if they have one) and the reason they require access. I need this information no later than December 16th as the current access control will be changed on December 19th at which point your current access to the data center will not work.

In addition we will be re-keying all perimeter doors after the holiday break, so your hard-key will no longer open the loading dock doors, the exit door to Peltason, main lobby doors into the data center and operations area. After the locks are re-keyed, hard-keys will not be issued and all access will have to be via the access card reader.

Thank You,

Kenneth Cooper, CDCDP
